The nominations window for Specialty Panel and ABPTS Board positions will open on August 1, with an application deadline of August 31. See below for more details.

The Process
Nominations for the ABPTS Board and positions for the 11 Specialty Panels opens on August 1 and closes on August 31. Appointees serve a four-year term that begin in January.
The Specialization Academy of Content Experts accepts application from March through April, with two-year appointments beginning in January.
ABPTS Board
The ABPTS Board is the overseeing body of the ABPTS certification and comprised of nine board-certified physical therapists representing the 11 different specialty areas.
Become a Specialty Panel Member
Specialty Panel members are the carefully selected subject matter experts who guide nearly every element of the board certification operations in their areas, from developing eligibility requirements to evaluating applications. Serving on a panel is a rich professional opportunity that connects you with other PT leaders and allows you to engage more deeply with your area of specialization.
